Cuando un niño empieza a ser guiado en lo que «le conviene» aprender, pospone su propio programa interno de aprendizaje y delega el desarrollo de su potencial de su plan de ruta en manos de los adultos. Los adultos se convierten entonces en «quienes saben», y tienen los angeles responsabilidad sobre el propio aprendizaje.
Un niño que desde siempre ha sido respetado en su libertad de aprendizaje es sencillamente capaz de escucharse y seguir los dictados de su corazón. Cuando un niño ha sido continuamente motivado desde el external, dirigido desde afuera, aprende a acallar su corazón y esperar indicaciones ajenas.
Pero eso sucede desde l. a. desconfianza de los adultos, según los cuales los niños vienen a perder su tiempo jugando y haciendo cosas que no les convienen. Como si jugar no se correspondiese con un sofisticado mecanismo evolutivo desarrollado por nuestra especie que permite elaborar y comprender el mundo de una manera sencilla y fascinante para los niños…
Los adultos, desde los despachos, elaboramos «currículums» y «programaciones» y pensamos «qué, cómo y cuándo» tenemos que «enseñar» a los niños para que aprendan. Creemos que si no decidimos todo eso, los niños no aprenderán «lo que tienen que aprender».
Nuestras intervenciones educativas están basadas en l. a. desconfianza o el miedo: hacia los niños, hacia nosotros, hacia los angeles vida. El Sistema Educativo que conocemos es un modelo que en su esencia desconfía de l. a. humanidad y de su capacidad de aprendizaje. Es un sistema que limita, modela, dirige, estira y recorta a los niños.
Los adultos dirigimos y pretendemos controlar l. a. vida de los más pequeños. Les decimos qué hacer, qué aprender, por una inconsciente falta de respeto a ellos, a l. a. humanidad, a l. a. vida.
Desvalorizamos todo el gran potencial que llevan dentro para construirse a sí mismos. Desconocemos u olvidamos que cada ser humano dispone de un programa de aprendizaje propio, interno, valioso, único, vivo, legítimo… que necesita ser protegido. Estamos demasiado ocupados y preocupados con nuestros propios objetivos y proyectos para los niños como para permitir y concebir que existan los suyos. Y mucho menos que sus propios deseos o inquietudes sean más adecuados que los que podamos proponerles nosotros…
